AROVEC AroDry-P10 & AroDry-P16 Replacement Filter

The filter itself is good and obviously is designed for serious filtering, with lots of carbon granules - but the design of the shape of the filter has a flaw.
Installing it in my Arovec dehumidifier was difficult, due to the very stiff and straight outer edge of the filter - there is no accommodation / cut-out area to allow for the shape of the outside panel in which it sits, which has a handle area that protrudes into the square area the filter fits into.
I double checked that this is the filter designed and advertised for my model of dehumidifier and it is.
The filter edges were too stiff to bend enough to allow the filter to fit, so I had to cut into the edge of the filter in two places near the handle to allow for the edge to bend - which was successful, but probably too difficult for an elderly person to manage.
Apart from that, I am very happy with my dehumidifier, which is very efficient and quiet, and I have found the people at Arovec to be great to deal with.

I got 2 for me and 2 for the grandkids. The replacement filters are different to the 1s they arrive with. Feel very flimsy. I tested some replacement filters off temu and they appear to be closer to what the machines all came with for a 3rd the price. Temu's had the same charcoaly absorbent nuetraliser smell to them, on restart that the machines original filters had. So i ordered some more of temu. Not sure whats going on there with the filters? Can be a big offputting the repeated cost of filters on top of machine, that dont appear to fit right or look the same when they do arrive.
